What quote am I vibing? “Every one of us can make a contribution. And quite often we are looking for the big things and forget that, wherever we are, we can make a contribution. Sometimes I tell myself, I may only be planting a tree here, but just imagine what's happening if there are billions of people out there doing something. Just imagine the power of what we can do." ~ Wangari Maathai

I am currently reading Unbowed: A Memoir by Wangari Maathai. I was introduced to this remarkable woman's legacy by a co-worker who includes her accomplishments in an upcoming presentation we are preparing for the company on connecting. With oneself, our coworkers, and our community. We reflect throughout the presentation on how important intention and purpose is in making these connections across the board, and how small actions can lead to big impacts.
As someone who is often picking up 5-ish pounds of trash at a time, this idea of small contributions leading to a larger impact over time is never lost on me. Wangari's quote above captures the enormity of that impact. What if we all...
What if each of us.
And what if we all.
The world would be a better place.
