I wish that I could play "The Rainbow Connection" during a session of Congress, during a mega-church service, at an Amazon stockholders meeting - anywhere, everywhere people with money and influence could hear it and be reminded that we each are an important piece of the puzzle, and we each have dreams and wonder to contribute to the world.
Our goals for humanity should be simple and pure, and interwoven with the goals for the rest of earthkind. I'm sad to be reminded every day, in new ways, that they are not.
But I am happy that I can continue to find inspiration and hope in others, to keep us fighting, and to keep us loving. Maybe one day, I'll run into Jeff Bezos and Mitch McConnell (yes, it would be a strange party). I'll press "play" on The Rainbow Connection, and we will all start moving forward in the right direction.
