Road Day: 72
Books Finished: 4 (My Dear Hamilton by Stephanie Dray & Laura Kamoie (Amazing!! Please read this and First Daughter by Dray & Kamoie. Such a gorgeous perspective on the founding of our country from women who were so integral in the process, but not nearly as well-remembered.)
The title of this blog post about covers it. I had a few options on the table for after work, but I am TIRED after sports weekend, and I decided to catch up on a bit of real life - emails, laundry, planning the next week or two, etc. And reading!
The Astros swept the Indians this evening, so I'm also having wine in my Jose Altuve cup to celebrate their win and their advance to the ALCS, which opens this Saturday! Also a good idea to stay in and save my money for a night in case I have the opportunity to come to Game 1. With this in mind, I will say, just once - never before and never again (unless another loophole comes up) - Go Yankees!!
I hate to ever take a day off from excitement, but I do find myself getting a little weary. As much as the road has been peaceful and mind-clearing, the constant action is tiring as well. As my trip winds down, so inevitably must I, or I'll never transition back to home life.
